COLLAGES

Collages have always been important to Bertz, and seeing the Lee Krasner exhibition at the Barbican in London made her revisit the idea with renewed vigour. The bravery to rip up her own paintings and reassemble them afresh was central to a lot of Bertz's work created during lockdowns.
